Fall 2020:
Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, dramatic video, remotely recorded
We will go on creating beauty safely
From our homes to your home: Opera in Williamsburg created a new dramatic video of Gluck’s masterpiece Orfeo ed Euridice, with superb world-class singers and with our Virginia instrumentalists, led by Maestro Jorge Parodi, each recording safely at their own places. Orfeo: Nicholas Tamagna. Euridice: Kearstin Piper-Brown. Amor: Laura Leon.
The opera is open for preview since December 15, 2020.
We will return to live performing in Williamsburg Virginia as soon as conditions allow. The safety of our audience and artists is paramount. We are performing Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci outdoors on the West porch of the Williamsburg Community Building at 401 North Boundary Street on June 4 and 6, 2021 — tickets are available, see the link above. We hope very much to perform L’Elisir d’Amore and La Boheme when we can get dates at the theater later in the year. Any live performing will also be live-streamed to patrons who prefer to stay at home. In the meantime, let’s keep in touch from our homes to yours.
